España, líder en inventoras
La Oficina Europea de Patentes (OEP) ha publicado por primera vez un estudio de género de patentes en Europa: el estudio ha analizado las patentes registradas por mujeres y por hombres, en 38 Estados europeos.
Según el estudio, las patentes registradas por mujeres suponen el 13,2% del conjunto del territorio europeo, lo que supone un gran avance, ya que en 1978 apenas representaban el 2 % del total.
España es líder en número de inventoras, por detrás de Letonia, Portugal y Croacia, pero superando a países punteros en materia tecnológica como Alemania o Suiza.
Las personas expertas relacionan los buenos datos de España con la universidad pública puesto que la inversión en materia de investigación en España se realiza en el ámbito universitario donde, además, la presencia femenina es mayor que en el sector privado.
